King Mattresses

King Mattresses Starting at $359.99

A standard king mattress measures 76 inches wide by 80 inches long. It’s the largest standard mattress size and the top choice for couples who want the most personal space possible while sharing a bed. King size also fits well in larger master bedrooms where a queen would look undersized for the room.

Who Should Buy a King
Couples Who Want Real Personal Space

A king gives each sleeper 38 inches of width — the same as an entire twin mattress to themselves. For couples where one person tosses, gets up frequently, has different temperature preferences, or simply doesn’t want to feel close contact every night, king size is transformational. The extra width often matters more than people expect, particularly for sleep quality on a long-term basis.

Couples With Kids and Pets

If your kids climb into bed in the morning, your dog claims the foot of the mattress, or both of those things happen at once, king size gives you room to absorb the company without anyone losing sleep. The 80-inch length also accommodates dogs lying lengthwise without stealing leg room from the humans.

Larger Master Bedrooms

In large master bedrooms, particularly in newer homes built with king-sized rooms in mind, a queen mattress can look small and leave the room feeling unbalanced. A king sized bed visually anchors the room and uses the available square footage proportionally. King-sized headboards and bedroom furniture sets are widely available.

Standard King vs. California King

California king mattresses are 72 inches wide by 84 inches long — narrower than a standard king but four inches longer. The Cal king is the right choice for very tall sleepers (over 6 feet 4 inches) or for narrower master bedrooms where the wider standard king won’t fit comfortably. We stock standard king regularly and can source California king on request — call ahead to confirm availability.

Split King for Adjustable Bases

If you have an adjustable base bed frame that allows each side to be raised, lowered, or angled independently, you’ll need a split king mattress — which is two twin XL mattresses placed side by side. This setup lets one partner read with the head elevated while the other sleeps flat, or one partner sleep with the legs elevated while the other doesn’t. We stock the twin XL components needed for split king setups.

Jamison King Mattress Collections

Every Jamison collection is available in king size. The pricing premium over queen is straightforward — kings cost more because there’s more material in them, but the percentage markup is identical to retail mattress chains. The advantage of buying king from us is that the absolute dollar savings are larger when the base price is higher. A king mattress that retails for $1,800 at a chain store may sell for $700 to $900 at our warehouse, which is a much bigger dollar swing than the same percentage discount on a twin.
